Ice On Susquehanna River After Arctic Blast

Another year and more arctic air. This time it stayed below freezing from December 27th through January 7th. with most of those days having highs n the teens and lows in the single digits. This seems to be a common thing the past few years. Wonder what’s causing that. These patterns seem to be locking in the past few years. It’s finally warmed up a bit so we decided to head out for a nice walk on the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail to check out the ice on the Susquehanna not to mention get some fresh air.

Heavy Rain May Lead To Minor River Flooding

5 Mar, 2008 - 1 minutes
I got woken up last night by howling winds and the heaviest downpour since last summer. My Vantage pro2 said 2.06 inches an hour for rainfall rates.. It also said it’s raining cats and dogs, well no shit! Sounds like there is a little minor flooding out there now. I got up and looked at the radar.. What an impressive squall line it showed. Haven’t seen one like that cross this area in a while.
