Today I’ve been thinking that I might be willing to give a cornea transplant another shot if the opportunity ever comes up. I have had a couple and both rejected. I have no idea where this is coming from but it’s on my mind today. The most recent one was fine one day and I woke up the next morning everything was very blurry. Before that things were great. I was noticing things every day that I had never seen before.
I read last night about them doing something with stem cells that would help people with cornea problems see better again. The article said it was helpful for people who have had failed cornea transplants. I wonder if it would work for me. It’s something I would actually consider. This was just awesome news to me. When the last cornea transplant didn’t work out so well I decided I didn’t want another transplant I thought it was better to give someone else a chance to have that cornea because it has a better chance of being successful for them than it would me.
