Still Doing Crossfit

Well, it’s that time of the year again. It’s time for the Crossfit open. I signed up again to see where I stand compared to last year. I know I have improved greatly in the past year. The biggest thing is experience has taught me how to best approach each workout because I have a better understanding of my own strengths and weaknesses.

I have expanded my skills quite a bit over the past year. Two months ago, I finally learned how to make my body do what it needed to do to lockout a snatch. That drove me crazy for a year. I’m looking forward to seeing what my new max is in the near future, but that depends a lot on whether the confidence is there yet. This new lockout should apply to overhead squats also

I can do thrusters all day now. Last year for 14.5 I actually walked away when I just felt my thrusters were way off and with no clock to save me, I was just going to wind up injuring myself as I got tired from the thrusters and burpees.
