I really am not one to start trouble and don’t worry about what other people do unless it effects me. When I can’t sleep in my own house due to burning throat and eyes from a neighbor’s fire pit I see that as a problem. When I look out the window and see the haze from the smoke it is a problem.

This is why stuff gets banned and in my opinion out door fire pits have no place in towns and I really am surprised they haven’t cracked down on them yet. Laws banning stuff come out of people causing nuisances. When I looked out the door yet again thinking there was a fire from the strong smoke that’s burning my eyes and through I saw a thin haze of smoke. I had to go out yet again looking to make sure someone’s not having a fire. I don’t think I could live with myself if I was aware but ignore it and someone got hurt or killed. I noticed a thick haze coming from a few houses down with a flicker in it. I grabbed my phone and went to check it out, that’s when I saw an unsupervised fire pit a few feet from a house. I knew those people weren’t too bright but this reinforced it.

I can’t even begin to count how many times I’ve woken up or went to bed with the burning eyes from the damn smoke. I get it, a fire pit is nice, hell I wouldn’t mind having one myself but here isn’t the place to do that with people in such close proximity to one another. I try to be as courteous as I reasonably can to the people around here.

Honestly I believe it’s just a matter of time until they crack down on people burning in them. I’m actually surprised they haven’t yet.
