Peanut butter disproves evolution

I am glad I came across this.  I’ve been struggling whether to believe in evolution or not.  Now I know it’s just a fairytale and can prove it to myself by just going to the store and buying peanut butter.

Strawberry Hill

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

We attended a geocaching event held by Phideo over the weekend that was held at a place we’d never been to before. It was just one of those times when geocaching brings us to a great place we’d never been to before.

It was held at Strawberry Hill Nature Center & Preserve. It was really a nice place and I was thankful they allowed us to geocache there. We are lucky enough to have to return for more caches too!

They have 609 acres with 10 miles of trails. They have Mountain streams. It’s certainly a place worth checking out if you like a nice hike in the woods.

Mystery illness strikes after meteorite hits Peruvian village

This was pretty interesting I thought.

In a rural area of Peru a meteor or at least it sounds like a meteor fell from the sky and left a 100 foot wide and 20 foot deep crater.

The crater emitted a gas that made people sick. I’m curious what happened there and hope scientist get to figure it out.

Burn Saltwater with RF.

Can saltwater be burned as fuel?

This link talks about a man from Pennsylvania who discovered that exposing saltwater to radio frequencies can breat the bonds of the saltwater.

I don’t know if this could help with fuel or anything because I’m sure it takes more energy to break the saltwater bonds apart into hydrogen and oxygen than is released when it burns and creates water again but still it’s very interesting. I just doubt it’s some new alternative energy source.

Sites that block Firefox because of Adblock plus

Tuesday, September 11th, 2007

Recently I have been seeing
Adblock plus brought up pretty often. Adblock plus is an extension for firefox that blocks web ads.

I have the right to block ads and I do that but I think the site owner has the right to block me from using their site. I’d just go somewhere else. I find it interesting that they would want to limit their exposure just because someone is blocking ads. What if I used a text browser that wasn’t capable of showing ads? Would that still be stealing?

I probably never would have started blocking adds if it wasn’t for the annoying and intrusive type of ads that were so common.. I’m talking about the pop ups or the pop under windows. Then there are the flashing banners that are done in flash. I can’t forget about the ads that cover the whole page and cover up the content I was searching for.

The text ads aren’t so bad especially if they are relevant. If that’s all there was I wouldn’t block ads because I wouldn’t feel the need..

Felix is Category Five Storm Again

Tuesday, September 4th, 2007

Dangerous Hurricane Felix is about to make landfall in northeastern Nicaragua. After weakening some on Monday it’s strengthened over night and still is now. It is back up to category 5 levels again with 160 mile per hour winds. It doesn’t seem like the area is very populated so that’s a good thing.

This is the second hurricane in the Atlantic basin to make landfall as a category five storm this year. I don’t think that’s happened in the past.

It’s been an exciting storm to track. Felix has been full of surprises.

Felix: Second Category Five Hurricane of the Season

Monday, September 3rd, 2007

It’s a little late but still I thought it was interesting.

We have our second Atlantic Hurricane of the season this year. Felix became a hurricane and at the 2 AM advisory on Sunday had 80 mph winds. The 10 PM advisory yesterday said 165 mph winds and the.

Even more interesting was the fact that the recon plane aborted it’s mission due to extreme turbulence in the storm and graupel and lightning in all quadrants of the eye wall.

This tropical season has only had two hurricanes but both of them made it to category five status. wow..
